    Re: Few Questions

Its funny, people who ***** about reading the same old requests/questions put more effort into being smug/tard or just generally rude than just executing a tiny move, ie 'the back button' seriously if your going to be rude or try and show off with the "look at me I'm the first to say search noob" just hit the back button and all your aggression will go away.

Have you ever asked someone in the street for directions or the time only for them to say STFU NOOB AND SEARCH no, I doubt it. Keyboard warriors, you gotta love them.

Nope. I don't ask people for directions unless I've been beaten up, knocked out, then airdropped onto the equivalent of the Sahara on Mars. Why?

Because I RTFM. Plain and simple. Funny how you trash talk with broad sweeping generalisations & assumptions, this is the first time I've wrote something to this effect.

Wow. This couldnt have gone off topic quicker if it had been beaten it with an off topic stick.

          Re: Few Questions

If people just keep answering questions, then the people asking are NEVER going to learn how to search. As it is now, people don't even care to search because they are too lazy or they know that someone will answer their question anyways. Being nice about it is not going to make someone want to change.

That example was merely to highlight your ignorance and general rudeness. Does it really, I mean REALLY matter if noone uses the search function? Where I've seen a certain question X amount of times, I do like to read the opinion of others (except the lame 'search' comments) as sometimes someone will pipe in with an interesting comment. FFS just HELP people instead of being rude. You are exactly whats wrong with BF2.

1)When using an example, your supposed to use something that is SIMILAR to the situation being discussed....otherwise its just pointless analogies.

                2) Yes, it does REALLY matter if someone uses the search button, otherwise whats the point of having it.

                3) I am helping him more than you are because if he is being handed information all the time, he will never learn to search himself. "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime". (See, thats an example of an analogy that applies to the situation, unlike yours. Try to see the difference and use it next time). You can argue that I could teach him in a "nice" way, but we all know where thats going to end up. Im going to tell him about the search button, and hes still never going to use it. I guarantee you that if person A gets a friendly, quick response that answers his question, but person B gets flamed horribly; person B would be more likely to research the question on his own in the future, therefore creating a more productive human being in the world instead of lazy person A.

                  lol this is just shamefull...

                  1. some guy who talks about 'learning forum ettiquette' has responded with 'search noob'....rather hypocritical

                  2. in the time it takes to respond with some flame about using search, you could have kindly answered the question, and reminded the OP that is what the search feature is for, and that there are many threads asking this very question...

                  3. when you select 'choose later' you have to log out, then log in again to get that unlock select window

                    1. - > It's "forum ettiquette" to teach others about "forum ettiquette". Sure, I did it in a crude fashion, but sometimes you have to get the point across.

                    2. - > Bullsh1t. That's like giving people benefits and trying to push them to get a job. If you keep giving benefits, THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GET A JOB.

I normally ignore threads like these, not opting to reply since it's not worth my time.

However, the reply that Pangus made was absolutely priceless.

Whether you're for or against helping helpless newbies; you have to admit that the creator of this thread is anything but helpless. I give him a thumbs up for the burn.
