Why the lack of servers?

I've been playing BF2 for a few days now and there are hardly any servers to play in, actually about 4 or 5 that show up. I've left my filters blank (no X's) and I see like 20 servers. This shocks me, is BF2 really that small?

no there should be tons of servers. did u remember to patch to version 1.41

lol yeah.... BF2 1.0 has 5 servers up!

Get 1.41 and you'll see it up to 6000 total...(only 2000 with people)

Hehe I see. I'm an idiot, how could I forget an update. I was starting to think that you guys are crazy for playing this game with a few servers.

Yup patch-up you get 2 new maps and some bug fixes(joke)
