    FRAPs Sound Recording Issue

    Hey All.

Recently I bought Garry's Mod 10 (great game, by the way) as well as FRAPs. I recorded a few movies to find that the sound was coming from my microphone, so what I heard was my breathing, taping of keys, and clicks. No game sounds. Now I looked into it, and found that you can change the input in FRAPs, but only "Detect Best Input" and "Use Windows Input".

Both give me the same effect.

I tried looking on-line, but found threads like this with no answers... I am currently searching through the Windows control panel to see if I can make the exported sound the input sound, but I still have no idea how to.

I also know that if I just remove my headset (which is USB) apparently, it will record the Windows sound. This is a problem for me, because not only do I have no speakers -- which I sold because I have this headset -- it would also render me unable to talk in teamspeak, ventrilo, or anything else.

Please, if anyone has any advice, respond!

Not sure this will work, but try it. In fraps select 'detect best sound input'. Open up your volume control, start ->programs->accessories->entertainment. Then go to options->properties "Adjust volume for" recording. Make sure What U Hear is checked and hit "ok". Then check What U Hear and turn its volume all the way up.

If that doesn't work, try updating your sound drivers.

      Re: FRAPs Sound Recording Issue

I tried it, but I have no option that says "What U hear"

I'm messing around with the control panel now to see if I can get it to work.

( + I don't think that updating my drivers will affect it due to it being a USB mic... my sound card has no use now.)
