Flag cap radius - faster at the pole?

Is the flag capturing any faster if I stand next to the flag pole or is it the same as if I'm just inside the capping raduis?

it will cap faster when more people are around,

you can be sat anywhere in the radius and will be the same speed

yep the more people on the flag the faster it will go down/ up

I love when a good squad uses teamwork and just rrushes a flag and it goes back to their colors in 6 seconds...

Great way to get last flag...wish I could do that once...only have seen people do it...never done it...

Yes I know that more players will make it run up/down faster but me and a friend are arguing about if the distance to the flag matters (assuming you are inside the capping radius of course) :)

Best is to sit on the perimeter of the cap radius cause the enemy (especially tanks and APCs) fire directly at the flag pole! In a building or bunker near the flag is even better!!!

I have noticed on some servers it takes friggen forever for a flag to neutralize and then to cap, but on other it happens in a few seconds (and that is without others around)????

Anyone else notice this difference on some servers????

Yes I have noticed the difference in speed but has then seen it as if the enemy was near trying to take it back. Quite good as a "blind radar" :)

I don't know...but on my other game they can make speeds faster.

Basically when everyone inside a vehicle counted for the flag captures...

It doesn't matter because you can still just drop down, let all 5 passengers out, cap the flag in 2 seconds, and everyone gets in. On a public server, that's quite rare though, usually they all scatter like retards and end up getting killed by a tank.

yeah good thing they got rid of t hat.
but now the problem with letting all the passengers out is that the heli always takes off as soon as the flag gets captured and only like 2 ppl are able to get back in

flag hopping really used to be worth it in the bh days
