What do you guys think?

I ordered a new Radeon x1550 PCI video card for my PC. I've got 512mb of ram also.

How do you think the gameplay will be? I am going to be playing on a low setting, that should make it less laggy and make my ping lower, right? I should be able to ply BF2 pretty nice.

Since I know my PC isn't taht great feel free to make suggestions on how I can make the gameplay better.

low, still some lag....computer doesn't effect your ping.

If I buy another 512mb of ram should it be faster? I don't care about the graphics as much as I do the speed of the game. I'd rather have pretty good/low graphics than have awesome graphics and horrible lag + ping.

And how laggy do you think it will be? A little lag, a normal ammount of lag, or A LOT of lag?

the game will never be lag proof...2 gigs of ram and a PCI-E card will reduce the lag alot...

I don't have a PCI-E slot, my PC is outdate by a few years. Would 512mb (total 1 gig if I add the 512) make it faster?

And right now I have no programs installed except BF2, with the exceptions of IE and the basic programs. I don't have any big hard duty programs like photoshop or anything.

I have a radeon x800 pro card, and i have a total of 1gbram. I tested bf2 on 512, and its sooo horrible. I have a 2.45ghz cpu by the way, and 1gig takes care of that lag, but with one gig, in the beginning of any map, the cpu has to load some things for a min, so get 2gb!

probably not that great. i use to have 1 gig of ram then i upgraded to 2 gigs and the difference it made was amazing i went from like last to load to first to load everytime. this is a very ram hungry game.

I know this is probably not what you were hoping to hear, but I dont think you will notice as great a difference as you'd like. You need more than just a new video card. I put 2 gigs of ram in and noticed a huge difference, only problem was, my computer wouldnt stay stable with it. So, now I am going all out to upgrade. New motherboard, cpu, graphics card, and 4 gigs of ram ...now I will expect a huge difference in performance. You want to see a huge difference? ...ya need more, and more ...and more ...and ....

yeah 512mb ram wouldtn do ur card any justice. once u do get the gig of ram and up ur graphics...bf2 is like a totally new game. when i got my 6800gt and loaded my settings to med/high, my jaws dropped. from playing all low to med/high, the game looks wicked different.

Meh, anyone got an old 1 gig of RAM they don't use anymore that I could have? I've got DDR SDRAM, I'll pay shipping.
