I'm getting a new rig with a NVIDIA 8800 GTX (DirectX 10 compliant) but will not be running Vista, but rather XP Pro (Until after the first Vista Service patch). My question is - Will I have any problems running my old DirectX 9 games like BF2 using this card?
nayy...the paperwork with the 8800 says in the minimum requirements, that it will run on XP or later. The question is, how soon do you want to take advantage of DX10?
Thanks guys - I didnt think so. I may upgrade to Vista after the first Service Patch. Then DX10 games like Crysis and COD4 will be out. By that time I may be able to afford another 8800 GTX for SLI mode.
