Trying to update BF2

Hey guys I havent played BF2 in forever, and ive tried downloading the new patches for it but all the servers still wont come up, i wondering if i have to completely reinstall the game or if theres another way to get it up to date again?

hmmm thats happened to me too, i found out that if I DL the patch from TBF2, I get no servers but if I use the official EA patch from EA's website I get 1,000+ servers lol...

theres no harm in trying a full reinstall
