Getting shot while gun not pointed at you

Ever have this happen to you?? Lining up a shot on someone who then does the duck and roll and then with the gun not even close to be pointing your way the guy shoots you?? I know there is/may be some lag between what he is doing and what I see... just seems to be happening alot lately... indicative of an aimbot perhaps?

It's called BF2 sucks. It's the fact that animations do not match what the player is seeing. You are seeing a dumb animation of a player going prone with his weapon pointed in the sky, he is seeing you in his crosshairs, and firing.

its the animations when someone does the strafe + prone (something similar) the guns looks like its waving all over the place when really the crosshair is fixed on the target,

Yeah, or sticking up in the air.
Just concentrate on the body not on the gun mate.
I still get caught out loads by that :)

yeah the animations are longer than the actions so yeah. this happens also in cs sometimes when ppl are reloading their ak's and theyre looking down so i think i can take my time to shoot at them then suddenly theyre shooting. its kindof annoying but its something u have to deal with

People can't pull those tricks on me anymore, but before I used to get killed by 'em all the time.

Bunnyhops can't kill me
Dolphin divers get jumped over and shocked

So yeah just get used to killing the bunnys b4 they hit the ground.

And for Dolphins, just jump over and shoot in back, yet...I like to shock them if I'm med cause they can't get up quick...get used to it....and what they will do.

Always trick Dolphins

Go left when they think you're going right...get the idea?

Lag has a lot to do with it too. You see one thing while they see another.

One on my favorite ways to die is being shot even though you're already behind cover.

Yea when people just come out of the water their gun is pointing up. But on their side they just can point the crosshair on you

You can see the gun not pointing at the correct target all the time in battlerecorder files. It always points to the left or right when you go prone. However, if you ever go prone you obviously know that the gun does not swing to the left or right, so it is just crappy animation.

Speaking of heads mwillin0000, in karky I was sniping some snipers today and something strange happened but to my advantage.

I saw the guys head pop up above the rocks and go back down and come back up so I positioned my cross hairs slightly above the rock. At this point his head went back down and I just saw it barely, under my cross hairs and I shot. Next thing I see is top left hand corner gold writing and I thought to myself, I didn't see a head, no way!!

From what I was seeing, it should have missed. Surely enough I did it again like 5 minutes later. I'm going to try it more often...

One last thing, same server different round, I'm USMC. I'm running along the top left hand side of karky to get to suburbs, just passing the hotel when my squade gets mowed down by the enemy commander with his support mg36. I go to look where he was, figuring he snuck behind us. I was wrong, I started getting shot at and guess where from... I saw the line of fire coming from the hotel where you spawn under the building pretty much. no closer than the gap in the fence line.

Remember, he took out 3 guys from that distance, I was medic, I could barely even see the gap in the fence. Yeah my view D is 100% before you ask. He was a very fishy character...

What is the opposite of that is when you think they can only see an inch of your head (due to FPS camera position?), and in fact you're sitting on top in plain view of what you thought you were concealed behind...

Re lag: Pretty much my 'skill' is dependent on the ping I have. When I start having to use an entire clip to kill someone, and/or my kill ratio is suddenly 1:1 or 3:10, I know it's lag working in the background and it's time to simply leave the game. I'll never get over the fact that TAB shows my ping as 45ms, yet it's acting like 300ms. At least Counterstrike was pretty accurate displaying the correct pings, especially when using net_graph.
