Why cant i rank up?

Im Lance Corporal right now with 837 gp, all the sites say i should have ranked at 800 gp, what's the problem :'(

if you past your points needed to rank up while playing, disconnect from the server, log out and then back in, then re-join a server and you should rank up on the next point you get. Also note that ranking up on the weekends takes longer than normal due to stats server lag on weekends.

Yep happened to me when i ranked up to 2nd Lt. When i realized i had enough points i had to leave the server i was playing in and join another one. I believe it has always been like that.

I have ranked up but no servers are showing my stats. I've been playing on ranked servers (my BF2 is set to only find ranked server). At the end of the round, they don't show any stats. Do the stats need to be something that shows at the end of the round in order for them to be recorded? The only stat server I found my name on was the EA site and it shows that I have 0:00 hours played. Is there a way to tell if the server I am playing on will report to the stats servers?

also make sure you have installed the full '1.41 patch' from EA:

there are some old non-1.41 patched servers reporting as 'ranked' which will show up in the browser, but EA doesnt accept stats from them. you have to be playing on 1.41 ranked servers to gain stats.

edit: here's an example. 7 servers running patch 1.12 that say 'ranked', but EA is not going to accept stats from them, because they are not patch 1.41. and funny enough... 6 of them say 'totalbf2 ranked'. :shakehead

Are you still not having any luck? What is your player name or PID number? I want to go and take a look at your stats if you don't mind.

actually that is a complete lie, any server that is checked ranked is rank, and that goes for all 7 1.12 servers and all 3 1.03 servers that run ranked. ea has and still is accepted stats from these servers. they don't condone it but they haven't shut them down. and yea 7 of these servers are totalbf2 servers.

As for EA and you guys from Total BF2 if what he says is true then shame, shame on you both for unethical conduct it is very disappointing. It is this kind of crap that has helped destroyed the legitimacy of the stats system.

My advice to you is once you get your unlocks screw the ranks and go play the mods for this game. They are much better done and a whole lot more fun to play.

yea as far as i know these servers have been running these patches since those particular patches came out. i am almost positive EA knows about them, why they havent done anything i dunno, but some people can't resist the days of BH and C4 whoring

calling me a liar is a bit overboard. I'm just posting what ive read on other posts about non current patched servers.
