Sound problems since bios update

I updated the bios on my Abit AV8 3rd eye motherboard, and now I get pops and crackles when playing bf2 multiplayer. This isn't happening in any other games, single or multiplayer, that I'm playing. It's also happening in special forces and 2142.

I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't help. I reinstalled the patches and my sound card drives and that didn't help either.

Any suggestions?

just guessing, but maybe u have onboard audio turned back on when u installe the new bios?
