BF2 won't install

I recently got a new computer, a Gateway GT5432, which uses Vista, and tried installing Battlefield 2 on it. It started installing fine until about halfway through the third disk a message popped up saying install failed, try again. Anybody have any idea what the problem is? I've tried multiple times to install it but it keeps giving me the same error. Also, I added a eVGA 8800 GTS 320 mb graphics card and Startech 500w powersupply, but it gave me this message before I installed those parts, so I don't think they would matter.

I just tried changing the setup file's compatibility to Windows XP, and that didn't work either. And the disk is also completely clean and free of scratches, in case you were wondering.

I'm not able to install my game either. Not quite the same problem as you, mines that the game won't even start to install. After many attempts I did get the game installed, but now the same things happening with the SF expansion pack, and so I'm patching BF2 and am going to try SF again from there on.
