General mod failures

All the mods I down load fail to run. I have them in the correct spot, all files are unzipped. I'm running BF2 version 1.4. They get about 62% through (Geometries area) loading then crash the game and boot me back to my desktop and exit the game. The only mod I have that completely loads is the "Road to DaNang" Any ideas?

You need patch 1.41.

you mean maps not mods
set your terrain to medium to avoid crashing to the desktop - classic cause of problems
or download a real mod like pr and dcon

Yer update , you are playing custom maps not mods

Took all your advice on the settings and downloaded the 1.41 patch but still no luck. The game works great on the original MAPS. I've never had a game do this to me before. Any other ideas?

what maps would they be? linky to them maybe?

If you patched then try reinstalling them...
