BF2 Mic not working inGame or battlecomosettings.

Hey guys i realy need some help...

Since i bought my mic i can NEVER get it to work in bf2. i can use it on vent, ts, anything else but not bf2... ive gone through the battlecomo set up millions of times... reinstalled bf2 many times and i still cant make it work.. ive put volume up HUGE and still i get nothing at all... i would really appreciate someone helping me!

Have you still got a recept or is it under a warranty?, If so take it back, If not all i could suggest is getting a new one. Someone else may be able to help you more.

Have you tried re-installing and updating any drivers?

You have Realtek HD audio onboard audio and drivers. There is no way to get it work in BF2 afaik.

I have had two boards with realtek hd audio (ALC883 chip I think), and I could not get them working. Probably has something to do with the soundchip having two mic channels, but BF2 being unable recognize either because there are two instead of conventional one. All other games and ts, vent and so on do work just fine.

If someone has got this working I'd be very happy to hear how. I suggest you try finding what motherboard you have.

Get a USB headset with built in mic and totally bypass the Realtek onboard sound issues!!!! Platronics makes an awesome usb headset with swivel mic that says it is good in BF2 and it was.....I wanted 5.1 so I upgraded to a RAZER Barracuda headseat, which runs through my SB Audigy Z2 gamer instead of usb. Logitech also makes a good usb headset. Just some suggestions!!
