Game crashes to desktop after applying 1.41 patch

Hey guys, i have a problem.
After applying the 1.41 patch my BF2 crashes back to the desktop, i can't figure out what is wrong, i mean, there were no problems installing the patch, at the end it said "installation complete" and everything.
Can someone help me please :cry:

BF2 1.41 has CTD's several times now, but it appears it is do to the 158.19 Beta Forceware drivers and my 8800 GTS. The CTD's appear to occur randomly and I have just switched back to the 97.94 drivers and all is well again.

Dunno if this applies to your situation but my issue was driver related.

Already did.
And I've also tried to update my graphic card driver, nothing works .

Remove your bf2 folder from my documents then see if it crashes...

I had similar issues with the early incremental patches.

this worked for me (but it may not work for you)

i DLd the full patch (whatever version) then reinstalled BF2, AF, SF, and EF then after all those were installed, I ran the Full patch.
ever since i've just installed the Full patches over everything existing and it's been fine.

no problems since and after updating various times ATI drivers up to catalyst 7.3
