wow. so many helpful tips. Place claymores at the enemy spawn, don't place them there, if you do you go to hell. Get banned, for using your weapon.... wow. that is the worst idea I have ever heard. I suppose I shouldn't be able to snipe people out of their comfortable jets and helicopters while I sit in the grass a mile away now should I? I shouldn't be able to kill a person in one shot to the head, because other kits can't, oh yeah. I forgot a gas powered sniper rifle that shoots them in the chest takes 2 shots. Heck, Spec ops shouldn't get C4 because the make it explode when the flag goes white. Support persons shouldn't be able to re-arm themselves so they can spam grenades, medics shouldn't be able to heal themselves, assault shouldn't be able to shoot grenades because they can do blind drop shots, engineers shouldn't be able to put out mines because it's preventing the noob from crossing the road, anti tank shouldn't be able to carry so many rockets... even though they use them all on one vehicle, it's unrealistic. If you want realism play the awsome mod project reality and leave us vanilla players alone.

i recently started playing exclusively sniper, and now that ive come back to it, its real fun....im doing so much better with the kit than when i initially picked it up, got veteran, and moved on to other kits...

sniper is so much better as lone wolf.....sometimes i had to become commander, drop a supply crate, then resign :laugh: cuz im out in the middle of nowhere and no one will resupply me and theres no commander, otherwise, i create a squad, ask for supplies, then leave the squad when i get the drop :laugh:


ive found some awesome spots these past couple of days....ive stopped going for body shots and i focus soley on the headshots now...i think sniper kit is waaay easier of a kit to really get into the game, and get immersed in the game.....i dont care how much armor is camping my spawn point....im spawning as sniper and im creepin outta there wit the quickness :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Luckily there are few GOOD snipers.

I usually look down on most snipers due to thier tactics and how much they contribute. How many times do you see snipers become squad leaders and lock the squad so they can get supply crates? Do they even know you can request supplies just by being in a squad? Or that damn sniper on the team who thinks the supply crate should go to him and keeps spamming supply requests because they are 3-2 and think that somehow is helping the team? Or how about when your team has no spawn points left and you check the map for teamates, to discover that there are several team members left, but they are all snipers and just sitting there, totally oblivious to whats going on?

This is what i do, i use claymores to cover my six when im sniping.

Otherwise, leading shots is easy. Just lead ahead of them if they're running, fire and follow through. It takes some practice though. Head Shots r your best chance for a kill, but sometimes just getting a KA is fine with me.

Yeh I use claymores to protect myself from people creeping up on me...

Like earlier, I was a sniper, in Road to Jalalabad, and was on top of the hotel - I placed 1 claymore at the base of the ladder, and 1 at the top...

Other team captures the flag, and one person tries to get up the ladder ... *bang* killed them... About 30 seconds later, *bang* killed the same person with the 2nd claymore...

So I went to investigate, and lay down right in the view of the ladder top, waiting for him to come up again... He did, and he brought friends... Before they could even get on to the top of the ladder, I was just picking them off one by one with my pistol lol

Okay. Tell me how a sniper can cap a base without spamming the claymores at it. We have a silenced pistol, claymores, and grenades for CQC. You it's really really hard to cap a base with a sniper rifle.

i put clays at the top of ladders a few feet away from it, but point in that general direction....

i also place them against walls in certain passages(where i am), so they are unseen until explosion...

thats about all the use i have for claymores, they cover me, and i usually only place one at a time, in case i hafta find a new spot, id hate to leave two clays behind and be stuck with nothing to cover me

best map for claymores is SAK, love putting them in the alley ways he he and the best sniper gun no doubt is the L961

you disgust me your the kind of player i would like to see added to the global ban list you seem to care more about your epeen than having fun. This is yet another reason why prm is infinitely better than original.

What is not fun about putting claymores in a enemy spawn? I personally laugh alot when i tag you with one.

ok i'll give u some tips, as a sniper try to get ontop of a building that no one else can easily get to. make sure you have cover to make you hard to spot. on maps where buildings arent good enough, hide in bushes/trees slightly out of the way.

dont place claymores at spawn points like someone said, they tend to blow up as soon as someone spawns but it does not always kill them. you can place them near the spawn points and they will run past them and die. but remember their best use is to save your *** when youve gone into a building or up a ladder.

use the m24 or l96a or if mec or china, you can use the semi-auto sniper rifles, which can be extremely deadly, you can get lots of kills in rapid succession, even if they are right in front of you.
use m95 only if you are going to get close to the enemy vehicle spawn, you can then either steal something or keep popping off the guys that think of nothing else but getting in a helo/plane. theres a constant stream of them, 6-7 kills before they come looking isnt uncommon :)
