CTD on big maps

I become crashing when loading a big map like el alamein,

I am playing on a low video preferences.

I thnik its because the map using alot of memory and it makes the game lag and drop to desktop.

Any suggestions except buying more memory to my pc?

AMD 2400, 512 DDR, Radeon 9600

upgrade RAM to 1gig or 1.5gig
