    A Question

I have stopped playing BF2 after I bought it (stupid mistake I know) well now I start playing it again. I have searched several tip/tricks forums and haven't found out the answer.

Well I saw soldiers (esp in INF ONLY servers) do some fancy moves. Dunno how to describe it, but its like: prone and roll over. I wonder how do they do that. Is there a special series of keys to input in to perform it? They usually get accurate shots by that. (or maybe I am wrong) :S

When they roll over it just means they are strafing left or right then go prone. To go prone you push z. And yes, that makes you much more accurate.

yes, basically the trick is to when u see an enemy 2m---jump,strafe,prone. they will start spraying and u will kill them

        Re: A Question

        so the keys will be:

        1) spacebar - left mouse button - z

        OR

        2) <- button and shoot - then z

        is that correct?

*sorry haven't played it for a while and missed out a lot of things*

I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but when you see a guy "roll" thats just him going prone. Theres no trick to it, its just one of the prone animations. As far as unique moves go, there are a lot of people who play IO tat do some pretty weird (and sometimes effective stuff). General rule: when the other guy starts going nuts hopping around like a fool just open up on him just using the reticle without going prone. Also going prone does increase accuracy but isn't the cure-all tactic. I can't tell you how many times some guy has gone prone, and I have just zigzagged my way close to him and unloaded. Prone is great, it can (well it used to, now everyone does it) catch the enemy by surprise, but it also puts you in a vulnerable position with low mobility.

            Re: A Question

if you jump to prone never jump prone directly forward, take advantage of your hitbox and jump diagonally, because the enemy has to re-line his sights on you giving you that split second of extra time to kill him, also you can jump to the left then quickly right in mid air which also can confuse an enemy,
giving you extra time. quite effective when enemy gets the jump on you, then you get called a hacking b!tch because you killed them even tho they saw you first

              Re: A Question

You are talking about the roll animation which you see on others (and they will see on you) when you strafe and prone. However, you wont see yourself do it

Thanks guys..so its an animation haha. Thanks for the tip. Yet I seldom have to use this strafe-prone thing as I am always the commander :)

These guys used it in a movie once, if I remember correctly.
Idk how they timed it as he himself couldn't see the animation...

but he rolled UNDER a vodnik, and while exactly upside down placed c4 on the bottom of it, then later blew it up.
                    It was SWEEET
