I installed BF2 on my laptop and it have an ATI mobility x600. When trying to run the game it shows a black screen then goes back to my desktop. I tried to change the refresh rate to match what vista says it is and no luck.
Try deleting the BF2 in your my documents, your settings will go away but I think that might fix the problem. If it is what i think it is, it's not your system, but bf2 itself causing the problem. Obviously, what else would bf2 be used for.
