I too get very frustrated with the weapon accuracy. At 5m you cannot unload, as nothing will hit. I played with the medic unlock for a few minutes today, god it was terrible. It was single fore or nothing.

Well, there is your problem right there. You need to aim to hit your target.

its lag, laggy hit boxes, poor netcode and lousy hit detection...the only REAL problem with BF2 even still

Well, there is your problem right there. You need to aim to hit your target.

Lining up your target is aiming, in my vocabulary anyway.


Right, the hit boxes are screwed, bunny hopping and dolphin diving spoil infantry combat, there is a lot of foul play I've noticed, the AK-101 is far superior to the M-16... really is a terribly flawed game even after half a dozen 500MB patches.

Think I'll wait for Forgotten Hope 2, see if they managed to fix anything.

All I can say: "You are not alone !"
I hit everyone (hit indicator flashing) but noone dies, instead they do a reverse salto in the air and kill me with one shot from a mile distance with a pistol. (Ok slightly exagerating)

Played another round, after I had cooled off. Went better.

I use the M16 and AK variants. It just gets annoying when you take the time to line up a target, get your shots off when its stationary only to have them bunny hop in the air and practically one shot you.

Could play Counterstrike but it's not my scene.

Unlock the DAO-12 up close you'll murder anything and at long range use your AT missiles to snipe with. Play in a squad aswell that sticks together so you can get plenty of ammo & healing/revives of medics. Actually just playing in a good squad with any weapon will see your K/D ratio shoot right up.

It seems to take me an entire magazine to kill anyone... why? Even at 2 metres.... the whole magazine must be used up. I'm shooting at the head and upper torso here. Just now I got the jump on someone, before they could any shots off I had already used half the magazine, they begin shooting at me, I'm still shooting and hitting yet they do not die and I do? I nearly through the entire computer out of the window.

Bursts of gun fire at timed intervals to avoid recoil. Check.


Either the game is fubar or I just have the worst luck in the world for BF2. Wouldn't mind so much if K's weren't shown but I'm always getting something like 10 kills and 11 deaths.... or i'm breaking even which is heavily unsatisfactory.

F**King irritating is all I can say.

take pot shots.. dont empty it all out on them.. shoot in bursts of no more than 3-4 and aim for the head

are you standing? crouching? lying prone? moving while shooting? i have no trouble wit that. cs=ownage in bf2.

This game really needs a patch, come sense would tell you than dropping to the floor while firing would give you pathetic accuracy, yet seems to be the best way to go in BF2, especially when the actual animation has the guy firing at the sky.

Luckily, when I made my first account and totally sucked I managed to get the DAO-12 'cause I was totally pissed off with armour rekilling me, so to this day I practice getting a rocket to the tank treads and whoever gets in medium range gets a face full of shotgun. It's amusing when people either prone or jump and just die.

The reason I started sniping was that exact problem and I love it, especially when I'm spotted and their face drops right into my SVD crosshair... It's also fun when I hit a body shot and they jump around spinning...
