Don’t get me wrong I agree with what you’re saying. It just seems that by now we would have all realized that complaining on the forums here is not going to accomplish anything. I know that sometimes many of us get frustrated with this fiasco and we vent by posting on the forums. I stopped being angry a long time ago when I finally realized and accepted that EA does not give a rats *** about anything other than making as much money as they can no matter who they screw in the process.
I am kind of ashamed to admit this on the forums but I like many others was a dumb *** and purchased 2142 when it was released. The reason I am ashamed to admit this because I swore up and down for months before it was released that I would not purchase another EA product until they resolved all the issues with BF2….Shame on me.
However it gets worse after purchasing the game I played it for about maybe 10 hours or so I guess and then I never really messed with it as I got interested in the mods for BF2. Now how this story gets worse is even know I do not play 2142 I went and did a double dumb *** move and purchased the Northern Strike booster and I have yet to play it…. :hmm: :hmm:
Yea I know you can make fun of me now all you want I deserve it.. I am beginning to think I should just give EA my credit card info that way they can just save me the trouble of purchasing this crap myself.
Now that you had a laugh at my expense, let me say this. The only way you are going to get the attention of EA is to affect their bottom line by no purchasing their products however as I demonstrated by my own stupidity that’s not going to happen on a large enough scale to have a significant impact that will get their attention.
The other thing you might try to do is to put together a website where players can register and sign a petition that can be sent to EA demanding that the issues with BF2 be resolved. However to do this with any hope of success would require you to put controls in place to assure that all the signatures are legitimate and van be verified.
The other two major obstacles to both of these ideas is the community itself as most of us just get frustrated and vent on the forums but that is as far as we are willing to take it.
The other is that I am not sure what percentage of EA’s customer base we make up however I figure it is a fairly small percentage considering how lager of a company they are and the number of different titles they release every year for both console and pc alike. So I am not sure even if we had an ideal response from the entire community if still even get their attention.
I have been playing games from EA since the release of MOHAA years ago and I can tell you that I learned a long time ago that is was hopeless cause when it comes to expecting EA to act like an ethical company in how they conduct their business but the truth of the matter is that, it is what it is. My best advice is that you need to treat purchasing games from EA like going to a casino. You have to accept going in that you might crap out and just loose some money.
