BFHQ completely frozen, but sites continue to report progress?

Hi, excuse this for being my first post....and yes, I have searched and evaluated the other threads.

Basically, here is my situation. Not only is my "progess bar" stuck......EVERYTHING is stuck. Global points, last time seen, commander points, medals, ribbons, everything.

I recently re-installed BF2 a month or two ago after a long hiatus from playing. When I stopped playing, I had 3000 points exact. Well, upon re-installing in the correct order along with patching in the correct order, I saw that BFHQ was reporting me with only 243 points not being seen since June of 06. I thought, blah, it will correct itself...lol...crazy bf2.

However, it did and still has not. I have attached a screenshot of my BFHQ. I check sites like BF2s.com and bf2tracker.com, and I am shown at around 3120 points. Also, upon entering servers I have my rank and unlocks.

I have included screenshots to help one see all this.

I have tried re-installing, deleting the bf2 folder in My Documents, I have all my ports open, no firewall, no anti-virus.

Please, help.

Got bored so I thought, "Hmmm, I wonder if I create a new account and play a bit...get some badges...etc....what would happen?".

So, I remember I had another account. This account was called "Reno", I remember having it right when BF2 first came out in 2005...but i never used it.

I retrieved it, logged in, and started playing. I played a bit, got some points, and got a medal. All this I did in a two day period so I could see if BFHQ would update, and how long it would take.

Well, all the stat sites are reporting my medal and points (have been for awhile actually), but BFHQ still reports all 0's.

So, basically it seems to me that something somewhere is not letting BFHQ update on my machine.

However, all the firewalls are off, computer is hooked straight to the wall (I have a FIOS connection), and I have tried the deleting bf2 folder trick again.

Is there something I am missing? I have attached a read-out of my running processes.

Is there some way of testing my connection to the BFHQ server outside BF2?

I checked with EA and they said that they have shown that the account I made to test whether BFHQ even has the chance to update indeed does have a badge and points associated with it.

They said they are going to investigate why my BFHQ is not updating.


Has anyone EVER seen anything like this happen?

Loads of people get similiar things.

It's most likely your ISP, because BFHQ gets your stats directly, and the various stats pages retrieve the stats then show them to you, like a proxy.

You ever hear of anyone getting it resolved? Like, idk, getting info from EA to tell their ISP so that their ISP can allow whatever needs to be allowed so that BFHQ can update.

BTW, my ISP is Verizon and I got FIOS installed about 6 months ago.
