Longest hike ?

Well reading through this forum, most people tend to talk about the gunnery to first sergeant hike as to be the longest. But I really don't really recall it to be that hard, but the past few months I've played in an almost desperat attempt to reach sergeant major (as we speek, I only need 3187 points). So what do you guys think ? Gunnery to first sergeant or first sergeant to sergeant major ?

Also when looking at the points, it takes 1.200 from gunnery to first, but it takes 30.000 (which seems an awfull lot) to sergeant major. Not even the hike from Captain to Major matches it (only takes 25.000).

gunnery to sergeant major. it took me a week to get to sergeant myself, so if it takes 30,000 to get from gunnery to sergeant major, i'm going to be doing that for a while...

Its always been almost unanumous here that the 30,000 gap is the longest by far.

i guess they try to make up for it by making the ranks after that a little easier...

I don't see what the argument is.....the one with the most point requirements is OBVIOUSELY the longest...

well if you got a spm over 2.5 it can be a pain to get past 1 star, since you only need 2.0 spm to make it even. no amount of medic whoring or tank spawn raping uhgh will help with that, it all goes on time, when i first got 1 star i needed almost 400 hours to get to 3 star even though i had the points, 30k in 400 hours is a cakewalk compared to this. but at least point whoring means nothing and squad work for the good of the team makes alot more sense.

i guess they try to make up for it by making the ranks after that a little easier...

not all of them are easier, Im covering a 25K gap right now and after that I got a 30K gap to my first star

but usually when you have the hours in that most Lt. Col do the points are easier to get, more experience = higher SPM (usually)

I don't see why there is any discussion... 30,000 points is the largest and most grueling task.

Well, maybe Expert Armor.... but in terms of rank... 30,000 is a lot to get.
