Re: How do you jet pilots do it?
I have the Saitek Cyborg Evo Force.
The spring itself isn't tight at all, it's actually very loose in comparison to my friend's Attack 3. The joystick by itself is hyper-sensitive to the point where it's quite literally impossible to control the jets in game. I have to turn on the deadzone to 20% for X and Y axis, and 30% for rudder control, just to be able to control it in game with full Sensitive, Pitch and Yew.
However, my desk is about chest high, which is probably what causes my discomfort in the first place. Not only do I have pains in my middle and ring fingers, but my wrist is now becoming sore. I'm going to take your advice and lower the desk a little.
The worst thing about the joystick is the HUD-view hat button which I use to change views to Fly-by, Rear-View and Front-View. My thumb is constantly stretched up to that part, where the back of my thumb is used to press against the buttons below.
I'll try the advice given and lower it to lap level. As for the spring? That can't be it, theres barely any resistance at all as it is.
