    Bf2 Cd?

My friend is looking into purchase a copy of Battlefield 2, however he does not want all of the boosters and such. Gamestop/EBGames (same company now) say that it is discontinued (the plain BF2).

does anybody know if this is true, and if it isn't where he would be able to get it?

*He would have asked, but he isn't a forum member yet.
    -Thanks

You don't have to install the boosters.
      But you also get SF.

It's proabably not even worth the trouble to look for an unused BF2 original CD/DVD.

I mean, there is only the pack edition, no just plain bf2...
He thinks he could get it cheaper w/o all that stuff.
*they still sell SF seperate, they should keep BF2 seperate as well

just tell him to get the collection pack with all the games on 1 dvd for like 30$... chances are he ll want SF for the extra unlocks and if u buy bf2 and SF it ll cost more than the full collection

Gamestop/EBGames cater primarily to consoles nowadays, so PC stock is limited. If your friend is going to be stubborn about it, he should try visiting some of the bigger retail outlets that haven't abandoned the PC market yet. :)

I know Fry's still has some original BF2 boxes on the shelves because I just saw them there a couple of weeks ago. Bestbuy, CompUSA, or Circuit City will probably still have some copies on the shelves, too. <shrug>

                  Alright....

yeah Zach you're right.. I remember a few years back EBGames and Gamestop would carry a lot pc games, but now they only have a small and limited section.

                  But *Stealing a quote*
I was able to pre-order the next BF2 patch there... Quake Wars!
