it seems after that problem last week of the server being down, i have been getting a lot of wierd problems, I shot this guy right in the head but it was like i missed him, or i knife someone and you hear the noise but he doenst die lol...have you guys been getting this lately?

nope my ping was 18 and i was not lagging since i was getting about 80 FPS

You can't trust what the game says is your ping. It'll say 53ms and act like 300ms.

Then I'll play on some servers that say I'm at 150ms, and it acts like 32ms.

thats so true, really you should just do the searching urself and find a nice, close server to play on. The lowest ping i seem to get is around 30 in quebec servers, damn i wish i can find a good toronto one though. Sometimes its the dumb asian people that come into north american servers that lag the game like crazy.

If you have a ping of 53 then that's what it is for that millisecond. If you have a low ping but are getting abrupt gameplay then your FPS sucks and you need a better Vid Card, CPU or system all together.

theres more to it, i think there are 3 types of lag: Server, Ping, and Computer.

Server: the servers just needs a reboot, and everyone is experiencing choppiness, while their frame rates are normal.

Ping: only YOU see other people and helicopters choppy, everything is hard to shoot and just makes the game unplayable in extreme cases.

Computer: your computer cant handle the graphics going on in game, and simply put you get a low frame rate, which can make you suffer in gaming performance if its <25.

I get 80 frames on a server alone, while on a full kark server i get 30 frames with the same settings. About 70&#37; of your framerate depend on how many people are on the server, what i find anyway.

ive always had these problems....i hit a guy 4 times with the knife, i get the dust poof, and the squoosh sounds, but doesnt die until the fourth hit....

I jet a 70 ping in my server, and out of no where it starts lagging so bad like if something major was downloading, when its not and my ping is still at 70. POS!

i shot this dude 3 times with my L961 and there was not one indication that I hit him lol..

Also, in times, I can kill three people in a row with a shotgun or M16 and a single clip. Weird.

ya sometimes ill be moving along, and it will begin to stutter, my ping is like 23, then everything lags to hell, and im dead..my ping is still 23....i believe this is typical, and should be expected from BF2, ive learned to live with it...
