Since Special Forces is DEAD

Could the folks at EA give us grappling hooks and zip lines for regular BF2.

This would enhance gameplay for BF2 and give the game a new dimension.

really how do people come up with these hypothesai? Have you seen any other game, after 2 years, have NEW content, ripped from expansion packs?? Same goes with the "removal" of ranking systems.... Thats never happened before, why would gamedevelopers start now??

fair enough, but it would be interesting to see, cause some maps could benefit, others wouldn't though....

I guess you haven't been around long enough to know, that zip lines and grappling hooks were added to regular BF2 ( for SF expansion people only)

Since regular Bf2 people couldn't have them. EA/DICE removed them because normal BF2 people complained because they didn't get them unless you bought Special Forces. If everybody in Regular BF2 had them there wouldn't be any complaints.

BF2C has grapling hooks in the mod.. and other things like handheld stingers and timed C4 with a blast radius of like 20m and the power of 5 C4... yeah it's an awesome mod.. it's pretty much vanilla, but with a few things added in to make it better..

Yeah.. imagine having grapling hooks on (insert map here), and once you are up there, you have 3X zoom with your sniper.

i played both
more stuff modded in BF2 Assault
BF2c is fun though

SF would be played a lot more if it were a booster pack like af or ef instead of an expansion. I like SF, but I hate having to restart my game to load it.

I think it's not really a good idea. Vanilla maps just weren't designed with hooks and ziplines in mind.
