mod time!!!!!

i want a mod with a variety of sniper rifles( if theres any) and with a variety of new guns what do you suggest?

Project Reality (http://realitymod.com) has the following sniper rifles as of v0.5 (the latest build).

M24 (USMC)
M95 (USMC Pickup)
M14 (USMC DMR)
L115A1 LRR (GB)
L86A2 LSW (GB DMR)
SV-98 (MEC & PLA - currently using L96A1 model as a placeholder)
Dragunov (MEC DMR - Insurgent pickup kit)
QBU-88 (PLA DMR)

There is also a slew of other new weapons - molotov cocktails (using a placeholder model currently), RPG's, man-portable AA (Stinger's, SA7's), AT-4's and LAW's.

The Brits are using the L85 series (completely remodelled and reskinned) and the PLA are using the OBZ series (new models and skins).

Keep in mind that the sniper is s limited kit, meaning you are not always guaranteed it.

To get the sniper kit you need to request it - you do so by joining a squad with at least one other person in it, getting near a main flag, rally point (SL deployable spawn point), supply crate or the back of an APC, and hitting the 't' button. From there, you can request the kit. If it is available, it will appear by your feet and you just need to press 'g' to pick it up. If all the sniper kits have already been requested (2 per team on a 64 player server) you will not be able to get the kit until one of the players currently using it dies.

I think if you wanna play a mod for snipers, pr isnt dat mod, cus you cant always have the sniper, but PR rocks anyhow!

I know of people who don't like snipers, but jeeze, isn't 2 snipers a very small amount?

Snipers really dont belong in a battle field. your not going to see 1/6 of a amry made up of snipers, like you do in vBF2 :p

and dont forget you also have the marksman kits, which are like "squad snipers" to put it simpley and there is around 3 of them avalible per team.

To make the sniper as realisitic as possible (with in the limmeration of the bf2 engine) if we let the sniper be a unlimmited kit it would just be silly with the amount of ppl that would use it, like what happend in v0.3

Infact the limmiteration of the sniper kits improves the sniper class even more cos if you get it, to keep it you need to use it correctly and acturly hide instead of running around like a headless chicken with then now and again shooting at some guy :p

Or you could try playing another kit for longer than 20 seconds.

Everyone should try all mods, but playing lots of Sniper is not realy a PR thing, which is good IMO.
