EA/PB Getting OLD?

I've been playing this game for over a year because it's one of the only good games
out there worth playing, because every other games is unbelievably horrible. Throughout
my entire time playing, I've had multiple problems which brought me to the conclusion
that EA Tech Support is one of the worst forms of tech support I ever attempted to recieve.
The game was great while it lasted and when it wasn't giving me issues which I had to
troubleshoot by myself and I had fun playing it. They make a game, sell it, throw their old
one in the garbage, and try to make some more money making some new game that no
one likes. At the same time I found some players that I had fun playing with and we made
a little hangout in Teamspeak which was pretty fun.

It was a good game for a break, but now that PB decided to ban one of our players (1 out of 3)
it's getting really annoying. For one, we are all not hacking and all know we dont hack. Just because
one of our members switched to Windows Vista which isn't supported landed him a permenant
punkbuster ban. Well I'm sorry if their not up to date, maybe they need to actually "do" some
work. Instead of giving answers to support tickets, how about not trashing the honest gamer who
didn't feel like buying the game twice and at least giving a valid reason why he got banned.

If he isn't on the master ban list and bought the game for a second time, can you explain another
break in the EULA, which you won't even take the time to explain? ... the simple answer is "No".
If the regular gamer gets banned and barred from playing anymore, then why do we buy these
games in the first place? Why tell a user to go purchase another copy and then ban that user again?
If they read their own website to discover that their FAQ for windows vista is written by a 4 year old then
maybe they might collectively begin to realize how rediculous their cheat monitoring system is.
The tech support ticket admins all give you different answers and none of them help you solve
any problems at all. Well, last time I checked, I'm not playing this crappy game I have to play it
on my own ...

I guess they forgot what online means. Too bad that they are perfect and will never make any
mistakes by banning a series of players that can do nothing about it except pay more money to
get banned again. No phone numbers, no tech support, no address ... well any game manufacturer
that is affiliated with them must be smart.

yea EA sucks donkey balls when it comes to actaully listening to the people that make them the money, but if you think they are the worst.... well you have never played an SOE (sony online) game have you, the prolly don't even realise they have people playing their games

Umm no Bunny. How about you tell the truth about this. Your buddy abcinet12 got busted hacking on our server. Alaskan caught him and submitted the PB screens to PsB. However, whilst they were in the process of getting voted on, one of the PsB admins informed us that abcinet12 actually got GUID banned 3 days before we submitted him on the 9th of March 2007. However they put him on the master ban list anyway.

3 weeks later abcinet12 comes and plays on our server again, so we ban him. Funny enough he has a new cd key. He then comes onto our TS to proclaim his innocence that he doesn't hack. Well since you brought this up Bunny how about we let everyone listen to the convo that I also gave you.

I believe the 2nd time he got GUID banned in a month he was on his own server which funnily enough he thought he was safe from us PB SS'ing him. He even thought me and Alaskan worked for PB and were following him around. ROFL too funny.

Let me ask you this Bunny. Did you know he was hacking the 1st time around? NO? What makes you think all of a sudden he has changed his ways? He also told us in that convo he had to pay another $50 for a CD when you told us his buddy also had a CD and he used his CD key. So what is it? He obviously lied again to us to make us feel sorry for him and unban him.

I wouldn't have brought this up or made it public, however seeings as you brought it up and are crying foul that its EA and PB's fault I thought everyone else would like to hear the other side of the story.

Funny how a lot of other players use Vista and don't have any problems after they set BF2 and PB to be run as adminstrator. You don't get GUID banned because you run Vista!

Look, you take screenshots, he does not even block them so I suppose you have tons of screens and none of them show anything which could probably have some significance.

And you tell he already got a PB ban. Same people who told you it's a hack in the first place told you he got a PB ban even though there is no way to know whether a GUID has a PB ban or not, because PB does not publish them for anyone.

Fortunately you only have power over your server. For whatever reason he was banned he probably has learned the lesson and paid for it, there is no reason to punish him anymore, if there is, it's personal.

You don't get permanently GUID banned because you run Vista is true, but PB may ban for whatever reason they want, but they will lift the ban because they do admit their mistakes.

Now if "a lot of players" who use Vista don't have problems the rest is still tens or hundreds of thousands who have problems.

E: I really don't know why I waste my time on these, but the conversation sounds interesting though. If that is real and he's serious, we need to know more. But still, lift he's ban because no matter what he has done you'll catch him if he cheats.

I Cant stand EA's tech support when they switched over to EA links
(which was retarted and did nothing better imo.) I lost all the expansions i had bought for BF2 SF+EF=AF. it says i need to buy them all over again no way am i going to do that.

PB is somewhat fine, they just need to spend more time updating this game to prevent hackers. EA on the other hand just ruined the game rushing DICE,etc, and now look at 2142, a failure, maybe they will get a clue? also BTW, there is no hardware bans for 2142, EA wont let them because of the lack of players... strange what EA will do for money :P

Hmm Well seems to me that according to his post that we called in the hack AFTER telling them what it was. Now that little bit of info may have been left out but we were proven to be right out of abicent own mouth. Are you just some kind of conspiracy freak that has issues with "big brother". Because even if we didn't know what hack it was, it was in fact a hack so your problem with it seems to be that you just don't like people checking up on other people.

Well here's the thing. Have you ever admined a server as busy as ours or as cleanly run? I'm guessing not becuase if you had you realize this is a foolish option on it's face. So we catch a cheater then we are supposed to let him back on. Now I ask you, wouldn't it be wise to keep an eye on him? How are we supposed to do that while keeping an eye on everything else, not mention trying to get some game-time in ourselves. Not sure how things work where you are but I have to pay to play and the key word here is play. I would really rather admin a little and play a lot. So it's just one less tihng we have to do and since we don't get paid, I am ok with banning the odd cheater for life in exhange for a little more game time.

Now if "a lot of players" who use Vista don't have problems the rest is still tens or hundreds of thousands who have problems.

Its not a gfx glitch, or a bug in the game its from a hack program.

If punkbuster,EA deems it as a hack, it cause they know it is. You know they have people that buy these hacks and know what to look for.

Yeah PB makes mistakes,EA makes mistakes. But if he has been GUID ban from PB, didn't fight with them about it ,then why let him play on another key on our server? So he can cheat the honest players on there?

If PB or punkbusted lift the bans, then they are allowed on our server cause we are streamed with them both. So get your facts right before you start running that dickhole of yours.

agreed, I've seen several servers where some idiot was hacking and there was no admin to be found. I appriciate you guys working to keep BF2 as secure as can be hoped for, it's a change from the norm of most servers :)

Man we try our best to make it enjoyable for our guest. We have a strict reporting system for our members. They just can't ban someone cause they want to. They got to break the simple rules we have. Our members have to do a report on our site, including chat logs of warnings or any chat, plus screenshoots and battlerecorder movie footage.

So feel free to fire up TS and join us and frag out.

Edit - Just listened to that MP3 of ya'll in TS. Wow, good laugh. He admitted to using a hack and then stated, he didn't know it was 'illegal' to use such a program. HA!
