    Corrupted Disk?

    Hi there,

I already sent an email dispatched to EA, but it's been about 24 hours.

    Here's my problem:

I got BF2, and found out it didn't work for my PC. After a while, I put it in my shelf, all safe and sound. I got my new graphics card today, and was trying to install it last night to get it ready for today.

Well, I tried installing, then on the file "Common_client.zip" it said please start from beginning. I did. Same problem.

Went to support.ea.com and then I found manual install. Well, then data2.cab came up with an error while trying to manually install disc #1:

"data2.cab error invalid MS DOS file" or something like that, can't really remember it.

If you know this solution, please tell me, I've already searched the forums.

    Thanks,

    Re: Corrupted Disk?

    Sounds like a scratched disc...

It may not look scratched, but even the smallest scrape on the index track can render the disc useless. Either buy a second hand copy of BF2 and use your own cd-key or send £7.50 to EA and get them to repalce the disc. The former is probably easier.
