next promotion???

I've been stuck on Master Sergeant for quite a while now so I went to BFS to check out what I'm missing. What I found out was confusing.

My current rank is Master Sergeant

BFS states: "Next Rank: Master Gunnery Sergeant
You are not yet eligible for the advanced rank of Sergeant Major because you are missing the awards: Basic Transport Badge."

This seems to have me skipping First Sergeant. Here's where it gets confusing.

I have tons of time in a Basic Transport. For that matter I have 23 hours in a transport, I have 1095 driver ability points, and countless kills in a transport. There's similar stats for pistol and knife (no basic badge, but far exceeding requirements). Is this a known bug? How can I nudge this forward?

You are not skipping anything.

First Sgt = Master Sgt

Sgt Major = Master Gunnery

same points but different badge requirements before reaching the points.

First seargeant and master seargent have the same numerical designator so your not skipping anything really. you are jut getting a different rank. you also need al those badges before you reach 20k.

What about the badge issue? I exceed the requirements by far, but still doesn't show me having them.

Basic transport = 10min in one round
Basic knife = 7 kills in a round
Basic pistol = 5 kills in a round

Yep, you missed out on First Sergeant. You have to have the badges before you reach 20k, same for Sergeant Major (must have badges before 50k).

So if I understand you all, i'm pretty much hosed for anything that requires basic pistol, knife, or transport. right?

You're not hosed out of anything. You just can't get some imaginary rank that isn't any more significant than the other imaginary rank.

:edit: or get those basic badges within the next 20,000 points...

I got all my veteran kit badges, all of them, and i only have 3 badges (transport, helo, tank) that arent veteran, Oh! and air Defence, but look at my sig, mostly all of them are veteran
