when i attempt to create an online acount a game message comes up "the server has refused the connection". My internet connection is on a server but i cant turn off the websence program i can request url to be put on a allowed list tho so eny help coz im stuck on single player.

thanks i dont have any fire wals on but i found the info on corparate servers and i passed it on to the Tec guy but hes only at his office 1 day a week so hopely ill be online soon

I think this is just a problem with EA or Gamespy's servers. Its been happening a lot recently. Just go back a few hours later and try again.

It sounds more to me that the BF2 game needs to be put on the list which will allow the game to access the net.

If you connect through a firewall/router you will have to manually alloe the program access to the internet.

What firewall or touter do you have?

Belkin 54g router and XP sp2 firewall.

Your router has a firewall, i would turn off the firewall on windows 1) it is ****e & 2) 2 firewalls can collide & cause all sorts of problems.

1. In Control Panel, double-click Networking and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.
2. Right-click the connection on which you want to disable ICF, and then click Properties.
3. On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Protect my computer or network check box.

Note A firewall is designed to help protect your computer from attack by malicious users or by malicious software. Malicious software includes viruses that use unsolicited incoming network traffic to attack your computer. Before you disable your firewall, you must disconnect your computer from all networks, including the Internet. To do this, follow these steps:

2. On the General tab, click Off (not recommended), and then click OK.
