Alright guys, I'm sure you are all super tired of this issue, but I don't know what else to do.

The problem started a couple days ago, I started getting this issue 2 times a minute, and eventually I would lose connection to the server. So I turned off EAX, VOIP, and opened all the ports on my router. It worked, and BF2 and SF worked well and I only got the Problem w/ Connection for a split second when the round would end, not a big deal.

However, after two days of clean gaming, today something happened. All of a sudden its back. In my shear frustration I looked up FAQs, and such and updated my Punkbuster. I set it to pb_sleep 60 in the console as advised on one forum, although pb_writecfg wouldn't work. I tried turning off my Windows Zero Configuration for a while and it didn't fix it either.

ATI Mobility Radeon X1600
1.0GB RAM
Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra ATA
Windows XP
no anti virus
Wireless Linksys w/ signal booster
iMac running Windows

I run Xfire in the background.

I know the first thing everyone is going to say is, the game doesnt run well on wireless. I disagree, I think thats based on certain people. BF2 and SF ran very well for 2 days, and now its fell apart. Any suggestions would be great!

I doesn't work well on Wireless, thats the end of it.

No games do.

Yeah invest in a wireless router with a hard wire Ethernet port too! This way you can still use wireless when not gaming, and you can plug in when you want to play BF2 or other online games. Wireless is just not stable enough for online gaming, and you will go crazy if you keep trying to game that way!!!

Can you not take a hint? Wireless connections are horrid for gaming. EA knows f*ck all when it comes to their own game and you're expecting them to know how to handle your problem?

I have 2 routers, one purely for wireless networking and one wired, the wired one will give me a ping difference of 40ms compared to the wireless one, and the wireless one will lag like **** and give me the "problem with your connection" messages. Both are the same model router.

Also, type "pb_sleep 500" then "pb_writecfg", it almost definitely should work.

I had the same problem.

If your ping is jumping a lot it could be that you have a virus/spyware downloading things while your playing. I'm suggestion this because you have NO antivirus which is really bad. So try scanning your computer to see if you find anything.

wireless is no good anything can messup your connection tv radio signals next doors washing machine and so on trust me
