It's about time we had some more interesting topics around here, from what i have seen it's either bitching or 'omg this guy is hacker' and when somebody makes a good topic peoplle either ignore it or on the rare occasion they participate in interesting discussion.

Anyway, so Wake Island, what are your thoughts? Have you got any tips or hidden spots that you use a lot?

I was just on last night and found a great spot to hide near North Base. Let's say you have the North Village flag, you get over the bridge, hop onto that left hill that is closer to the North Base flag, you will see the wings of the airplane, jump onto the wing that is facing North Base. There is a bush right infront and around the wing so it's hard to see you from a distance. The only time you really get shot at is when somebody sees you from the other side of the plane. It's just a great place if you cherish that K/D ratio of yours and want as much kills and less deaths as possible.

Its a fun map but the J-10 is god on the map.I love infantry battles because there is no nade spamming and no falnking all the fighting is pushed together.

good fun overall. J-10 owns yes...

but there's good fun infantry fighting, carrierape, M95 ownage, killing j-10 noobs with F35, lots of nice water to look at while waiting for j-10/F35/Attack heli, and the list goes on.

ive been trying to get onto the half sunken boat for ages but i cant do the RIB method cuz i cant even get close to the island without getting shot at and i cant parachute down. i always miss by a few inche...but nevertheless i always imagined the boat as a good place to snipe

the boat probably would be good cover but where would you snipe to? the airfield is too far above you and probably out of range and youre taking the chance that the other arm of the island thats in range will have people on it. plus one arty strike would take you out so its almost not even worth it. by the way whats the RIB method?

Yeah, i managed to get on the boat and unless there is a battle going on between Airfeild and Beach there is not much use. You don't get much targets or anything so if your looking for lots of action (and points) i don't really suggest going there.

ive gotten onto the boat once and i could shoot some ppl near the end of the airfield, and it will take some real nice placed long range shots to get them. plus the RIB method i htink (nevr tried it) is when u drive a RIB up to the side of the sunken boat so the RIB is parallel, then u jump into one of the left seats on the RIB and then bail out, and u should bail out onto the boat

It is pretty easy to get on to the boat, just not that easy to survive all the way to the boat especially with all the jets and helicopters lining up shots through the water on there way to the airfeild.

the problem with that spot is EVERYONE already knows that, I got almost 300 hours on Wake, and sniping spots people dont usually look are on the roofs of the little shacks, only problem is your prone to helo, jet and arty strikes......but in an infantry battle you will stay alive longer than you think
another place is the exact opposite side of the island, this works good if you are US and PLA has 1 flag left....its usually North or South flags
well if PLA is at North, then you can snipe from South pretty easy, takes some practice with lead times and bullet drop but once you get on to it you will be dropping spawners left and right
also in that situation there are usually swimmers that try to cross the bay....easy pickins

I like when China has beach and USMC has the South base.

There is some great infantry battles there, and my AK or M16A2 always owns, I got picks but I don't want to brag TOO much.

Yeah, my favourite battle would have to be South Base vs Beach. Whatever class, whatever route, whatever army, whatever base.. it's always good.

That is until the helicopters come and hover around the bases picking off people because they want some points. God i hate those selfish fools, they don't understand that they are just ruining the game for everybody else.

And Gun Slinger, the place im talking about is NOT common or obvious. I have never seen anybody go there. Just lay prone on the wing facing North Base with the bushes covering you. I always look there and never see a soul around that area even though its probably the best place for shooting around that plane.

I love playing as China and making a squad called 'CARRIER'. I then go to the transport chopper, fly on the edge of the map all around to the carrier, then jump off at the end of the carrier with all the boats. Then just sit there as a sniper, with a m95, killing anyone that hops into the American jets and letting my squad rape anything who trys to kill me.

^^ Yeah ChiBoy, no1 hides there, I might sometimes but I don't snipe much exept the J10 whores outa there cockpit.

Eddyeddyd and me had so many funny kills the other day HAHAHA!


ChiBoy, I disagree, helis hovering like that getting "points" realy helps their team because it is crushing every body in there and no1 can get out.

I don't mind when they pick off tanks and stuff but when they just rape somebody immediately when they spawn not only is it unfair for the other team but none of us have any fun just watching the heli kill the whole time and we get nothing from it, no points, nothing.

And yeah, i quite enjoy going on the carrier and taking care of the helicopter and jets. I usually die within 5 minutes though which is unfortunate but either way, it's fun. I get way more points on land though, it's not really worth the effort in the end.

My tip is capture airfield, and then proceed to rape with the F35. Keep the J10 & chopper from getting off the ground. Then when you have them down to one flag, bomb the **** out of them.
