Silly question..

This may of been asked before but i don't know the right words to use for a accurate search.

Anyway, my question..

The 3rd set of unlocks.. can you only get them if you have Special Forces? Somebody told me yes but then another player said that no, you can get them regardless.

no third set only basic BF2 vanilla unlocks, (G3, G36C, M95, MK3A1, PKM, L85A1, DAO-12) then Special Forces unlocks, (tier 2) (SCAR-l, L96A1, F2000, MG36, MP7, G36E, P90)

thats it, no tier three, you have to play at least one round of special forces, regardless who owns it (get a buddy to play it for you) then you will have the availablility for the tier 2 unlocks (SCAR-L and so on...) but until you play SF its a no no. Check your stats to see if both tiers are unlocked. it will show either one row of unlocks(vanilla) or two (for SF)

someone has to play at least one round in special forces on your account in order for you to be able to unlock those weapons. you do not need sf installed on your comp.

that is correct. you need SF to get them.

Tier examples (medic):

Tier 1: M16A2
Tier 2: L85A1
Tier 3: G36E

you have

tier 1-defaul
tier 2-vanillia unlocks
tier 3- SF unlocks

but afaik no 3rd unlocks

0_o Just ask some1 (that you trust) to play a round under your name. Then you can get those unlocks/ or just buy SF, it has something for everyone. Warlord is the $h!z
