Unlocks?

Ok well some time ago my friend and I were playing Bf2 we were talking on the phone and all so we got bored and he got off the server and so did I we were still talking and then he said WOW!!! I just got 3 unlocks and hes a rank behind me and he got 3 random unlocks and it also enabled him to unlock the second unlocks before he unlocked all of the first unlocks the weapons he got were the PKM, L96a1, and the MG36 does anyone know wy he got these unlocks? O and he still has them

thats wierd, at most you only get two, and have to unlock first tier before secound?!!

Did he recently install Special Forces expansion pack? I did when I had reached Staff or Gunnery Sergeant, and so all at once I was eligible to unlock a bunch of 2nd tier unlocks, if I recall correctly.

um he has special forces, armored fury, pretty much every expansion pack

The number of unlocks i accumulated when you install SF after playing vanilla for some time. I think I read in some thread here, that the possibility to unlock 2nd´s before 1st is a bug.

do you mean he unlocked second tier before he unlocked ALL the 1st or that he unlocked 2nd for one particular kit without the first for that kit?

if you got SF after reaching a certain rank then you get an extra unlock for every promotion you have received past that rank.

I think he understands the unlock system, but he is saying that his friend was able to unlock a Tier 2 weapon BEFORE he unlocked the Tiers 1 weapon. Like someone mentioned before, it is apparently a bug.

no one the sniper kit he had the barret then got the l96a1 and then for supports he got the PKM and MG36

And from what you just explained, he unlocked the weapons just as everyone has.

i was looking around on bf2 stat websites and for second tier unlocks it says they are special forces unlocks and i know that you get to use those weapons in special forces so if you have special forces do you get all the unlocks?

In SF they aren't unlocks; they're just the normal weapons for one of the armies (mainly SAS or SEALs). Only the level 1 unlocks are available to use as unlocks in SF. Two of the level 2 unlocks are actually not available in SF at all; the sniper and AT unlocks are from the EU army in the EuroForce booster.

Unlocks look normal. You may be misunderstanding the limitation; you don't need to unlock all the level 1s before any level 2s, you just need to unlock the level 1 for that kit before you can unlock the level 2 for that kit. (Your friend definitely has some areas he needs to work on; a 0.34 K/D ratio is pretty bad and 300 TKs with only 1360 kills is terrible. Probably why he's been kicked 94 times. I can certainly see not caring about stats but the TKs mean he's making the game less fun for others.)
