445 servers just running large maps with those filters ain't half bad. Bet a lot more would show up if you checked small and medium.

JUST now (BF2 is still minimised)

So there are only 445 ranked populated servers with "Large Maps" out there?

Check your filters.

Although the thing I don't get is the amount of servers with "zero" ping that take ages to refresh if I click on them.

All map sizes, No Veh, Punkbuster(worthless), same mod, populated, no passwrd, ranked--- 212

Looks like if i uncheck the "same version only", 1000+ appear but most of them are red

I can't play with different versions, can I? I installed 1.4 full patch yesterday

Funny thing happens to me, on one account I get about 3000, on another I get 500. Same boxes checked.

I knew it. you fall into the 99% my friend. 1.41 is the current ver not 1.4, Google it and you should find a bunch of places to download it.

I usually get about 500. A long time ago we had a thread that said that to get the best return of "playable" servers you can check 6 filters max. So I have six checked. At the moment I dont remember which ones but I do know that only six are checked.

I only use the list of servers that comes up about half the time anyway. I usually play on servers from a list I made from servers Ive played on. If a server isnt to bad I like to visit it 3 or 4 times just to get an Idea of what the server is like. Usual Players skill level, Tactics normally used, etc. That list is on a note pad I keep by my computer and currently it has 7 servers on it.

The last time I reinstalled BF2 I checked to see if any servers were listed that were running the game without any patches and found 3. So I guess you can find servers out there no matter how you run the game. . . . . . . . .Red

Nowhere near as many as there used to be. I get maybe 15-20 servers that are less than 100 ping now and they are ALL 24/7Karkand/Jalalabad/infantry only servers, which I refuse to play.

Right now the only thing I have checked are Same Version Only, Same Mod, and all three map sizes and I see 3244 servers.

I get about 20 under 125 ping. And they all lag and stutter anyway.

Sorry to bump this up, but I get LOADS of servers with zero ping, but when (if) I click on any of them it takes ages just to get any info up, and forget about joining any of them.
Anyone know what this is and why it happens?
