        Why the hell would it matter whether its a SABOT or HEAT round? Those round are very heavy and highly explosive, it should atleast be able to kill some one.

        Btw, it was a HEAT Round that I used.

          SABOT rounds just use pure kinetic energy to penetrate tank armor and such. HEAT rounds are the explosive ones. Correct me if I'm wrong.

            We designed the game with a rock<paper<scissors mentality. One round is good for attacking armor, one round is good for attacking 'soft' targets. This gives you more controll over your environment and makes the game a little more interesting.

            We also have working chaffe/flares in tanks, so the ground pounders at least have a little bit of a chance.

              IRL, if you stood anywhere near a tank cannon going off, you would be severely f*cked up. There is a very large danger radius from the tip of the barrel forward. When one of these cannons fires, if standing next to it, you wont simply 'go deaf', the pressure will crush you like a tin can.

              Realistically, a SABOT round passing/landing close by you would have enough kinetic energy(pressure) to AT LEAST disable you, if not downright kill you. not to mention the amount of shrapnel and fragments that would be turned up from whereever it landed. If it landed near a rock, thats like an instant frag grenade that is much more lethal.

              However this point is moot, POE2 have said many times they are not aiming for realism, they are aiming for gameplay and fun.

                Here's another type of question. Which mod has more servers online?

                Cause no matter how good the mod is, if no one's playing it, it's useless.

                  Re: Pr Vs. Poe

                  PR: 143 servers :: 281 / 6,056 players :: 14 active servers (5:04pm) i.e. with players at this moment in time)
                  POE2: 105 servers :: 54 / 3,684 players :: 4 active servers (5:04pm)

                  PR: 403 / 6,106 players :: 25 active servers (6:37pm)
                  POE2: 81 / 3,748 players :: 6 active servers (6:37pm)

                  Just thought id show the differences over time, PR definitely have the numbers and servers compared to POE2, but that said its been out longer.

                    Re: Pr Vs. Poe

                    POE by a landslide, PR is a great mod but all the things they did to make it "realistic" completely killed the "fun factor". If I want realism I'll join the real military. PR with the gameplay and some of the maps of POE would be incredible. I wish there were more USI servers because so far it is the best mod so far in my opinion, I am greatly anticipating their next release, hopefully more people will become interested in USI again with the new release. USI seems to be the best of both worlds.

                        Close this ridiculous thread already.
                        Why do people feel compelled to pitch one mod against another as if they were arch enemies or some ****?
