BF2 wont update to version 1.41 (wtf)

My Battlefield 2 is stuck on version 1.4. I've installed the 1.41 patch several times, even downloading the patch from different websites and installed. The patch installs fine but when I open BF2 the version number reads 1.1.2963(-795.0) rather than the appropriate 1.1.2965. And I can not join 1.41 servers. If anyone could help me on this I would greatly appreciate it

did u try a full uninstall and then reinstall then patch?

Can't do a full uninstall and reinstall. I lost the first CD of the BF2 CDs while moving recently and currently use a CD Image on DAEMON tools. I have however used the 'modify' option in the uninstall to repair BF2 but that has done no good.

Any other suggestions, or an alternate way to uninstall then reinstall?

Borrow a friends Bf2 disc and install with your CD key?

I tried what it suggested and still no luck
