Neither. The DAO and Jackhammer pwn both of those. I suppose for wake and such the P90 is OK. I never liked the MP7, though.

P90 is way better. 50 bullet clip has saved my bacon many many times. I also like my jackhammer. It isn't very common and people seem to be surprised by it. Many times when I have died I have seen people pick up my kit in order to use it.

both have same firing rate i think, but p90 has more bullets so it wins.

Despite the two rather harsh comments about it, I think the MP7 is a handy weapon to have as an engineer. If your looking for improved range and a large clip then its a good choice. But the P90 has a larger clip and deals more damage out.

So basically it depends on which class u use more. As far as the engineer goes, I like the MP7 but vs guns from other classes it isn't anything special.

I find the MP7 more useful on maps with lots of open space. Makes the engi a little more rounded, but I'd still prefer the jackhammer in urban maps.

If I really need range as as AT, I improvise with the "guided RPG" and pistol that you load out with standard. Otherwise, DAO-12 is almost always a better choice for the AT, so the fact that I could reach out and touch someone with the guided AT missile was the deciding factor in leaving the P90 for my last unlock because the Engi has no medium range w/out the MP7 except the pistol.

But, if you play AT quite a bit, it is also nice to have options, so the "get something you'll use" argument also presents itself.

i unlocked the mp7, but haven been able to select it....is it for vanilla/spec forces, or is it only on the other expansions?

Its on BF2/SF.

And the MP7 requires a lot more skill and patience to use. P90 will get you more kills, but I prefer the MP7 because the engineer kit is so useful on so many maps.

Check the BF2 Compare Weapon Tool based on the BF2 Weapons Chart - [DUCKS]Black_Duck_1.

You will notice only 3 differences in specs. If you would compare one with for instance a M16A2 you get a whole lot more.

Funny that people actually say "THAT ONE IS WAY BETTER" etc, since both wepaons are just about exactly the same but one has a smaller magazine (40 on 50). The other two differences aren't noticeable at all.

See what models, skins and sound can do :) .

Because the difference between the two is nonexistent you are better of asking yourself which Kit you are using more. Or are going to use more.

Huh, always thought the P90 did slightly more damage than the MP7.
