Whats going on with PR

Project Reality is the best mod I have ever played...its soo much fun. But After the release of desert conflict, there are so many less players on....wtf? I downloaded DC, it was cool but no strategey at all...just run and gun. I found it boring. Anyone else have an oppinion on PR and ideas if more players will come back?? I hope so.

not many players are on due to the gamespy servers going down, which means lots of pople are not able to log into there account servers etc to even play any mod / bf2. this has resulted in a masive player drop all over bf2 and probaly b2142 aswell. soon as gamespy fix the problem (again...) should see the player count go back upto normal :)

I had a feeling the player population would drop after DC came out. Its simple really--DC is the 'new' thing right now and alot of players (myself included) wanted to try it out! Will the players return? Who knows. The thing about PR is that its really tailored to the more hardcore reality player, so population for these types of mods is always low. I think PR had so many players a few weeks ago because there hadn't been any new releases from other 'big name' mods and the PR team did a great job with releasing videos for .5 and such. However now that there's a new mod out from the DC team, it will probably draw away the PR players who prefer the more arcade-ish setting.

Generally I find with new PR releases that once the less hardcore folks try it .. and move on .. the quality of play picks up substantially.

lol....well rhino was right. the PR servers are filled again! Good to see!! I think people, like myself gave DC a try for a week or so. Its deff more arcadish like what you said. If you perfer that go with it....for me its PR all the way though.

As all the mods roll out, we aren't going to do the creators any justice unless we fill our hard drives with the client files and at least go play some of their mods.

The fresh perspective alone should increase our gaming heads and give longer life to PR
