I apologize if this is in the wrong section but I searched and this is the closest thing I could find, to seek for help. I can download the Full patches fine, I downloaded the 1.3, 1.4 patch and they start up I go through all the steps and it says it installed successfully and then when I restart my computer, start up BF2 it still is the same version 1.1..etc. Any ideas that could help me?

The patch version in bf2 doesn't matter, it's never been correct. Just ignore it. -

I only get like 24 servers when I installed it... and thats with the same version checked and not that many things checked...Comment

Well, the newest patch is 1.41, so you can start with that.

Oh ok then I downloaded that one, still I only get like 20-24 servers. : /
I downloaded this game could that have anything to do with it, I have a working CD-Key, the patches just don't seem to take affect. I get like 4 ranked servers. Usually 0 people are in them too.Comment

I have just started a clean install of windows(hard drive change). When i reinstall BF2 it plays ok, but when i try to patch i get 'patching failed'. Why is this? I was trying to install special forces, but i had tried to install the 1.41 patch with the same result.Comment

I'm having the same F&*(*(ng problem. I had this game since it has been out. I had to reload it and I can't get the patch to work. Same thing "Patch failed"
