  • Starting a game via the in game "Create Game" tab

    Hello all'

I have been at this for about 5 hours now and i am 100% frustrated.

Goal: To click on the in game tab "Multiplayer > Create Local" and start a game that some friends can join and play.

Problem: Using a router and opened up numerous ports that ea has listed for BF2 and it still doesnt work.

Other info: Router & modem is connected directly to another machine that does not have bf2 on it.

I want to run this game from my machine that does.

I was told that the port # that appears via Xfire is 55125

I enabled that port + the standard port of 16567 on the router.

Please help me. I just wanna set up a US Intervention game to play along with maybe 10 other people.

I'm using a TrendNet TEW-432BRP wireless router. but i am connected to it via the lan wire.

    This is from EA's Site:
    Hosting a Battlefield 2 Server
In order to host a Battlefield 2 server, you must have the following ports open in your firewall.

    Server Ports:

    UDP 27900
    UDP/TCP 29900
    TCP 80
    TCP 4711
    UDP 27901
    UDP 1500-4999
    UDP/TCP 1024-1124
    UDP 29900
    UDP/TCP 27900
    UDP 16567
    UDP 55123-55125

The above ports have been enabled.
