New install of SF patch 1.1 (guessing that is the current one) single player works fine. In multi I select the server I want to join and it loads the information, verifies the client data and just as it is ready to change screens to where I could join the game it crashes straight to the desktop... any ideas.. no error messages or anything...

Patch 1.1 is really old. Download patch 1.41 and run. Should fix your problem. -

I have 1.41 for BF2 installed... just trying to play SF to get the extra unlocks... single player also crashes... unless you mean 1.41 for SF??? if so where do I find it...Comment

There are no separate patches for SF and BF2. I understand you have 1.41 already installed, but it sounds like you recently installed SF and during that it tried patching your game, thus screwing everything up. In 99% of the cases reinstalling patch 1.41 after you've install SF, EF, & AF will fix things.

Im having the same problem wiv SF, SP is fine it loads nd i can play it no crash no nothing but when i try to join servers when it verifys client data after that it crashes to desktop i have 1.41 installed for normal bf2 but ^^ man sed there is no diffrent patches for bf nd SF so it means its up to date if everything is ready to use nd up to date then wts the flickin problem ??!!?!? plz help me wiv this problemComment

Uninstall everything of BF2 (including the folders in Documents *backup b4*), Re-Install BF2 then.Comment

wt?!?!!? that will take ages, well ofcourse it will solve the problem but think if u r in the same situation will u do that , uninstall everything nd wts the point of backing it up everything gonna stay the same if i do everything all over again.
