BF2 Crashes

Hi,
I just bought bf2 today (in fact it was a package including every single bf2 extension that came out), and i successfully (is it the right way to spell it?) install bf2 and bf2 special forces. Then first time i launched the game, i had to choose between solo mode or online mode. When i clicked on solo, the game crashed and came back to windows.
Then, i re-launchedthe game, and i didn't had to choose between those two modes. A profile was already created O.o . So i made a new profile, then i tryed to go in solo mode, but when i choose a map and i double a click on it (it is supposed to launch the map), the game crashes and it comes back to windows. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but it didn't changed a thing.

After you install BF2 and SF, download and install the 1.41 patch from EA.

you'll want the first one: "EA - 1.41 Full Patch". FYI: it may take a while to install.

if you have any problems after that, post back here.

More precision : It crashes when the message server initialisation (well that's how i translate it from french to english :P) appears. I find it weird because i'm trying to play SOLO and it tries to initiate a server O.o.

I don't have gamespy arcade on my computer and i don't have the internet neither on it, so no online account (i'm not playing on the computer i use to go on this forum).
Any other solution ?

I found someone who had the same problem as i have. It appears that it came from the fact that he had a DVI or something input for his screen, and ea support told him the game didn't support that. The problem is that i have this dvi thing. But not really. I have a normal input for my LCD monitor but i need to have adaptator 'cause my graphic cards only has dvi output.
Yeah i know, it sucks. Has anyone something to fix this ?

Also, i found someone who also had the same problem as me, and ea would have told him that it comes from his video/audio. And the problem is that his audio was Realtek AC´97. And sh*t, i have the same.

So where does the problem comes from ? solution 1 or 2 ?
