Had a blast playing. I wasnt to concerned about the sound - thought it was fine.

I can forsee some great battles when people start getting the hang of this mod.

If you want to redo the voices though, please feel free to send em over. they will be in the next release, which wont be far off.
Thank you man. I still have the list you sent me, i'll redo all of them starting tomorrow. I will keep listening to them for a week or two and let my bros listen to them as well until I get them right. This time, I Know what everbody is looking for.

I noticed that on the attack choper (maybe it was just this round that was messed up for me) they never stay on a straight path. If you use a keyboard to fly, it will always leen to the left or right, so in order to go in a straight line, I have to constantly be tapping the left and right arrow keys.

Well my first impressions are mixed. I know its only an alpha 0.1, but i thought i'd just write down whats on the top of my head.

          Cons
          * The fact that it is quite similar to battlefield in terms of weapons/weapon damage disappointed me. I was hoping for some more original designs. Personally i like my fighting realistic as opposed to arcarde-style 3 hits to kill and this was definitely the latter.
          * The voice on the CTF was a little loud and possibly overlong. Simple phrases like 'Enemy Flag captured', 'Flag carrier is under attack' would be fine.

          Pros
          * A lot of nice little touches here and there, the arabic tv in a house, the weird-*** ice cream van music and the ammo dumps and medi-pack cupboards.
          * The maps. Some amazing maps, really well designed and really good looking. I couldnt help thinking how much fun they would be in PR. :P
          * The build. Generally it has the feel of a solid mod, not any glitches, problems i encountered during my play time.
          * The special forces gun for the yanks. that thing is brutal!

I'm definitely gonna give it another go, and will keep an eye open for some new updates, but after playing PR, i find it so hard to go back to normal BF style gameplay.

I played for a little bit last night. Needless to say, I was confused what with the new maps and all. I had a blast, and I look forward to playing a lot more.

However, correct me if I'm wrong, but buildings do not show on the minimap. It would be nice especially when rolling into a CP and trying to determine where armor and vehicles could be hiding. If I missed it, or the point is to not have the buildings, then so be it.

            Great fun, and great mod.

I know what you mean about different styles. I think PR is a great mod, but I don't like the game play at all. It doesn't match me personally.

I don't like simulators, or RPG's either really. I still love Tetris and Monkey Ball though.

I like FPS shooters, online, fast, and deadly.

Thanks for the feedback, sir. You are right in that this is more arcadic than PR. That was on purpose. We strive for gameplay over realism. The opposite of what PR is striving for. Both are great mods, but we all have our preferences. Personally, I'm taking your cons as a compliment. Granted, the sounds do need some adjustments.

ak-47 could do a little tweaking, so its more like the m16.

Speed of tanks is fine, they need to be maneuverable.

Cant see anything wrong with the handling of jeeps, seem like bf2 to me.

Jihad Ice cream truck (rofl) on weapons bunker is the funniest thing yet...

Good without UAV, u can now sniper camp and do other spec ops secret stuff like in the old days.

VSS omg lol, imagine SVD with full auto and less kik than g36E, lol its awesome (good thing its only a pickup kit)

Gazala plays very similarily to the old original gazala (so does el al)..

                    Overall i think its great.

Would also like to see a few more infanrty only maps and a few more Armour vs Armour maps.

No one is technically allowed to comment, unless you played DC for 2 years.
I have to say that the maps are brilliantly reproduced, and I am outstandingly happy with the mod.

That said, I have played DC since Desert C. Alpha .2b.
                        That was 4 years ago.

These folks that have worked on and modded the game for ME, and the other half a million of the true, Oldschool Diehard DC players, have nothing but gratitude from me, and all of my favorite players, many of whom crawled from the woodwork to play this mod agin.

Stop your whining, and do better, or shut your piehole, complaining guys.

Fire up a local server and learn where to aim in the sky in order to hit the enemy bases. Thats how we did it in DC. (Or play with a decent team. That is a little more difficult however)

                          ------------------------------------------------------
The mod overall is very well done. Theres obviously some bugs here and there, but thats to be expected from a first release. Anyone that's played DC's first release knows how that was. The lack of new weapons and vehicles was disappointing, however considering the amount of effort that went into the map recreations, it is a small issue. The tweaks to the vanilla weapons and vehicles made gameplay refreshingly different. The Pickup Tow is wickedly evil.

Might want to consider optimizing and cleaning up the code a bit. It should help alleviate some of the lag people speak of. (Although I experience none) Go on through and remove all of the rem lines and such. Could also merge the .cons and .tweaks together like I did in RC. Never documented the improvements on that, though. (Certainly cannot hurt. Also cleans up the structure. Bit anal about that kind of thing.

Thanks for the tips, Global. Turns out the lag issue was as Rhino suggested to us... the BF2 vanilla barbed wire. We're creating custom barbed wire, and will have a patch out shortly after we test it, along with a few tweaks and such as suggested by the community. I'll try to keep you all up to date.
