    decrease account login time .

I am making this just to let you guys know that you can get rid of some time that is usually wasted on logging in . Some players have really long login times due the fav's , as Ea is trying to ping the red servers in your fav's so next time you login delete all the servers in your fav's and you will see the difference

This may sound stupid but does this apply only to the in-game browser?

No, it applies to all loading times. Knowing DICE, they probably made it so it pings the servers twice over despite you joining from another program.

you will also want to remove all the servers from your recent server list:

open up general.com in notepad. the location is "my documents/bf2/profiles/0001 (and 0002,0003,etc depending on how many accounts you have), scroll down and you will see recent servers and favorite servers. remove them all and save the file, -or- keep a few of your favorite servers if you want.

Are you saying that you want the load time of 2142?

This is very helpful. I practically know all my favorites by name already and wouldn't mind trading the list for faster login times. I'll also try what signa suggested. Thanks!

Old I know but maybe there are some new players in the forum.
Create an shortcut with a string like this to save even more time.

                "C:\Program\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +restart +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +playerName YourName +playerPassword YourPassWord

Download Battlefield 2 Cleaner - Battlefield 2 fight for one of three military superpowers: the United States, China, or the newly formed Middle Coalition.

you can use this program to clean your favorites and the cache of logos that you get from the load screen of different servers. this will put your login time at the beginning down to a few seconds. Don't clear the gfx thing under the first tab cus that will just make it so you have to optimize shaders when you load a map.

Delete your account (if you know the account info) and then retrieve it.

                              Cheers
