As now mostly all of the bf2 players are getting near all their unlocks or already have them and thus have not any real goals to play for. I think DICE should introduce some new unlockable items , similar to the 2142 field unlocks but different . The items i had in mind were small upgrades such as 1-2 second faster reload time and a slightly longer sprint distance , as long as the unlocks do not have a huge advantage over lower ranked players i think this could work and might bring some players back to bf2 . Its just an idea so post your comments and add more to the unlock items .

I think that this is a nice idea, but I think that this game needs different careers like airforce, navy and "normal" army, too... The guys who enjoy flying jets/helos should get other ranks than ppl who are only fighting on Karkand... and in every ranking-career u can decide between different unlocks... (it's very unreal to fly a jet with an anti-tank kit... :S)

I think that is a really good point , like so players who have exceeded say 30 hours in a jet can unlock say a take-off increase or something to that extent .

Although I'm only slightly waning I'd love anything that gives me a new target.
Its good being an optimist, how I'd love Dice to repay the £62 and the 1.3 debacle with just a few more tiny extras......

How about playing for fun? You know, entertainment...

There's no reason to entice players to stay with vanilla. The mods are released, and that's that. Peace out, vanilla.

The mods suck, which is why most people still play vanilla, but eventually its going to get old.

There should be an option for: Yes I like the idea, but I know that theres a 100% chance that it will never happen, no matter what.

I don't like the idea bf2 is to far along to make any changes like that. Since everyone knows that there will be no huge changes in bf2. But one can dream.
