BF2 Crashes after the splash screen

I've recently reinstalled my OS, and I've installed a new sound card (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE). Now, even after installing the most up-to-date drivers, BF2 crashes right after the splash screen. When I set fullscreen to 0, I get this error:

Memory: 512MB RAM
Hard Drive: 97 GB Total
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)

What drive is BF2 installed on? It says :/d
Also what patch, as the error refers to 1.4 and not 1.41

To me those are the 2 obvious first check.

If i saw an error like that after reinstalling windows i would go mental and swear i had a virus lol :|:

could u play bf2 on ur system in the past?

try a reinstall of bf2...and to be honest, bf2 wont be worth it to play on ur computer.
