Sudden Bad Lag After D/L'ing 1.4

Was playing the older version today..played perfect with no lag...decided to download 1.4...did so..and now I Get into a game and have horrible ping and I'm lagging, no matter what server...what did 1.4 do >.<

Sorry to make you think you got a helpful post. But I'm having the same problem, so any help would be appreciated for me too. (Unless your gonna say to go back to 1.3)

first...patch to 1.41 then update PB. if u still get lag, try re-optimizing ur shaders by deleting ur cache files in ur C:\Documents and Settings\NAME \My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

There is a massive performance drop from the retail 1.0 version of the game to 1.41 unfortunatly there is very little you can do about it. I'm in the same boat.
