You forgot the kill assits heal ammo points and flag points

yeah, capping flags would make a big difference. 3 points a flag, and I bet on a empty 64 player server, it would be going around in circles.

hmm my best was 611, and i was commander on a high points (not illegal) server and i did alot of reviving and dropped supplies and spotted the constant kills!

but i averege 160 points now that i play more, usually command though, just thought i would share that.

You aren't the only one Monk! I have to side with you on this one, who cares about ranks. I use several accounts and create new ones when ever I want. Honestly, I'd have to look up what my rank would be (find the account with the highest points) if someone asked. If someone was discussing awards with me, I might be confused about which are medals, which are ribbons, etc Just don't pay any attention to those "retarded" things. It's somewhat humorous to read posts where people actually care about them, just my opinion of course :p Although, the stat tracking can be interesting to review.

To each their own, for those people that like having ranks and ribbons, etc. that's fine too and the op seemed to have an innocent enough question -- probably didn't deserve the harsh criticism bro.

I suspect that the majority of BF2 players enjoy the ranking system. So if you are one of those who does not, then so be it. No need to get all upset.

I personally think those who join K/P, High Point & low ticket drain servers are lame. Playing in a 8 man, 64-player map server can be considered a form of padding because anyone can get high BR scores and awards easier. So, any BR score over 300 is fishy to me. It's just another stat that can be manipulated rather easily.

well i think in the old days you could get in a blackhawk with your squaddies get loads of points then hop as commander and get the wjole lot doubled, they changed that in a patch tho iirc

That will get you nothing.... You only get your earned commander points doubled.

It only doubles command points, and you didn't earn any command points that round (unless you resigned).

I dont know what the big deal is with k/p servers, I have 2 other accounts, one for I/O and one I use to go into k/p servers because I think they are actually fun but I dont have a high global score with that account because I dont use it that often just every once in a while for something different

but from what I seen on I/O servers and on K/P servers.........nobody and I mean NOBODY EVER got more that 500 points UNLESS they were on a K/P server and/or stat padding, oh Ive seen some pretty high scores on I/O but NEVER over 500

IMO EA and Dice should make a spin-off game.....something like BF3:Gang Wars, and have it be nothing but like the thugs from Compton, CA against the thugs from Brooklyn, NY and all they do is K/P each other LOL

funny thing is, when I play on k/p servers, I never have high team points because I wont throw med packs or ammo for anyone else.....THEY ARE ALL FOR ME!!!! LOL
